Where did dubs go on the website?
To optimize dub and sub navigation, Crunchyroll has updated how users can find and access dubbed content. Now when you select a series, if a dub a) matches your account language preference and b) is available in your region, you will load that dubbed language by default. As a part of this new feature, existing users will be asked to update their language preferences.
Can I change my language preference?
Yes! Your language preferences are located in your account settings and may be changed at any time.
What if I commonly switch between two languages? Is there a quicker way to change the audio language?
Yes! Once you load a video, the gear icon in the bottom-right corner will allow you to switch your audio preferences. Once changed, the current series will automatically continue in the selected language until changed. Note: Changing the language within a video will NOT change your overall account’s audio language preference.
How do I see/change my audio options before watching a particular series?
To see available audio options for a given series, select "more details" on any given series page to expand the series description and see a list of audio options available.
Some series still have separate dubbed versions/ The dubbed version is still listed as a “season” selection.
We’re currently rolling this feature out across Crunchyroll’s many titles, and are hard at work to ensure every title is accurate in the new experience. Stay tuned for updates, and don’t forget to check on your favorite series to see the audio options available!
Will other apps receive this update?
All Crunchyroll apps will eventually receive this update; please stay tuned for further announcements!
