Thank you for participating in our comment section. We value a positive community. Our members are smart, funny, insightful, and always very unique! That’s why your comments about your favorite shows and channels are so important to us. We encourage you to express your ideas here, to interact with us and other fans in enjoying the content!
We also want to make sure that Crunchyroll is a safe and trustworthy source for all fans. To help us create this environment please follow these guidelines:
Be positive. We all love these shows. We appreciate the creators, writers, and artists involved with bringing us these shows. The comment section is a great place to show your fandom.
Be encouraging. There are many new fans joining every day. The comment section is the perfect place to share your knowledge of the shows and help others appreciate the finer points of stories.
Be inspiring. Encourage others to participate and join in the discussions. When others see you sharing the excitement of discovery, you can inspire them to share as well.
Be respectful. With so many passionate voices, there will be dissenting opinions. Recognize that others may have a different viewpoint than you, and that’s a good thing!
There are some rules we need to enforce to keep this space growing in a positive direction. Members can help us by flagging comments that don’t follow these rules:
Hate speech
Our services are platforms where people can share honest opinions about our content and services, but we can't support comments that threaten violence to others or promote or condone violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity, or whose purpose is inciting hatred on the basis of these characteristics. This could lead to removal of the offender’s account.
Offensive language
Sexually explicit language, cybersex, or excessive profanity in comments may lead to deletion of comments or removal of the offender’s account. Comments should be considered in context to the show they are referring to. Comments that are appropriate for one show’s discussion may not be acceptable for another.
Copyright/Fraud
We respect copyright. We don't allow links to videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by others. We don't allow links to pirate sites, warez, sharing or hacking sites, or pirated/bootleg content. Posting copyrighted material, encouraging copyright violations (piracy) or fraud, are grounds for account removal.
Self Promotion, Spam, Trolls, and Scams
Scams and spam should be flagged for deletion. Self promotion (Twitch channel links, Youtube channel links, Twitter, Tiktok), giving personal contact info, or posting large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive comments will get flagged and removed. Comments used to take up space or prevent others from using the service will also be removed. Trolls who post inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic comments, with the intent of disrupting normal discussion are not tolerated. Repeated violators may be removed from our services.
Cyberbullying
Annoying and petty comments should be ignored. Abusive comments are not welcome. Harassment crosses the line into malicious attacks. These activities can be reported and reviewed for deletion. Comments that encourage others to hurt themselves should be flagged for removal as well. Violators will be removed from our services.
Threats, Stalking, and Doxxing
Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invasion of privacy, revealing other people's personal information, impersonating others, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be reported and removed from our services.
Automated or Disruptive Postings
The comments sections are for real discussions by real people. Automated posting will be removed and the account access removed as a result. Any posting that disrupts normal usage of the site is also not allowed.
Alternate Accounts, Sock Puppets, Smurfs
Creating alternate accounts for repeating opinions or getting around other rules or limits is not allowed. These accounts may be removed as well as comments made with them.
If any of these rules/policies are broken this could lead to the removal of the offender’s comment and/or account.
