New Crunchyroll FAQ
Starting June 15, 2021, all registered users in the U.S. will experience the new website as their permanent experience.
Do I have to do anything after June 15?
No action’s required from you! All of your profile information, watch history, and watchlists will continue to be available on the new website.
What about forums, news, and manga?
These parts of the website will continue to live in the Crunchyroll Classic experience, and you’ll still be able to continue visiting these areas.
So what exactly is the new website then?
The new website includes the revamped homepage, a new way to browse shows (whether it’s simulcasts or your favorite past series), new sorting filters that allow you to filter by subbed/dubbed, Crunchylists, and a new episode player for better streaming! Users in the new Crunchyroll website will also be able to change your usernames whenever you want, pick one of our new avatars for your profile, and change the header image to further personalize your profile!
What if I miss the old website and want to go back?
If you’re logged into your account, you will not be able to navigate back to the Crunchyroll Classic experience. However, if you log out, you will be able to continue using Crunchyroll in its original form. The downside is you won’t have access to your profile and watchlist information that’s associated with your profile. And if you’re a Premium subscriber, you’ll be watching with ads and later access to the newest episode while logged out.
How can I find out when new episodes are launching or what new episodes have launched today?
You can find out about all of our recent episode releases in our Release Calendar. To navigate to this page, iIn the top bar navigation, click Browse > Release Calendar. This will bring you to our original weekly calendar view of simulcasts and air times.
Is this how the website will always be from now on?
We’re continuing to make changes and improvements based on feedback from users, so look out for further improvements! We’ll always make sure to inform you about these new features as they’re released so you can stay up to date.
How will this affect users outside of the U.S.?
For now, it does not affect any users outside of the United States. However, we do plan to eventually release the new website internationally, so stay tuned for more updates!
