If you can’t add shows to your Watchlist, don’t worry—it usually happens because our service is growing and sometimes needs quick maintenance.
If you’re having trouble adding shows to your Watchlist, give it a few minutes and try again. But if the issue continues, try these troubleshooting steps based on your device:
Amazon Fire TV / Fire Stick
Restart Fire Stick:
- Go to Settings > My Fire TV > Restart.
Clear cache/data:
- Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Crunchyroll App.
- Select Clear cache and Clear data.
Android TV
- From Home, go to Settings > Device Preferences (or Device Options).
- Select Restart/Reboot.
- After restart, uninstall and reinstall Crunchyroll.
Apple TV
- Restart your modem/router by unplugging for 2–3 minutes.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Crunchyroll app.
- Restart Apple TV via Settings > Restart.
- Power cycle your TV and Apple TV.
Browser
- Remove any ad-blocking extensions.
- Turn off VPNs or antivirus software.
- Disable all browser extensions to test.
- Clear your cache and cookies, then update your browser.
- Refresh the page with Ctrl+F5 (Windows) or Shift+Cmd+R (Mac).
- Try again in an Incognito/Private window.
Chromecast
- Update both Crunchyroll and Google Home apps.
- Stop casting, close Crunchyroll, and reopen it.
- Reinstall Crunchyroll (on Chromecast with Google TV or your casting device).
- Reboot Chromecast.
- Confirm both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
Mobile (iOS/Android)
- Make sure your device is updated.
- Close other apps or browser tabs.
- Turn off VPNs.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Crunchyroll app.
Nintendo Switch
- Turn off the console fully.
- Enter Maintenance Mode by holding both volume buttons + power.
- Choose Initialize Console Without Deleting Save Data.
- Clear cache and delete Crunchyroll app data.
- Reinstall the Crunchyroll app.
PlayStation (PS4/PS5)
- Power down the console fully (not Rest Mode).
- Unplug the power cable, wait a moment, then plug it back in.
- Clear app cache/data.
- Uninstall and reinstall Crunchyroll.
Roku
- Clear cache: Press Home 5x > Up > Rewind 2x > Fast Forward 2x. Wait 15–30 seconds.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Crunchyroll app.
Xbox
Xbox One:
- Restart from Power Center (hold Xbox button → Restart Console).
- Or restart from Settings > General > Power Options > Restart now.
- For full power cycle: Hold the console’s power button for 10 seconds until it shuts off, then restart.
- Clear app data: Settings > Devices & connections > Blu-ray > Persistent Storage > Clear Persistent Storage.
Xbox Series X/S:
- Go to Settings > System > Console Info > Reset Console.
