If you’ve run into an error saying your IP address is banned, we’ve got you covered.
This can happen if our system has trouble recognizing your IP address. Common causes include using a VPN, certain browser extensions, or being on a shared network.
How can I fix this issue?
On most home internet setups, resetting your modem and router will create a new IP address.
To reset your IP address:
- Unplug your modem and router from the power outlet.
- Wait at least 15 seconds.
- Plug the modem back in first, and wait 1–2 minutes for it to fully power on.
- Plug the router back in and allow all the lights on your modem/router to stabilize.
- Test Crunchyroll again to see if the issue is resolved.
What if the problem continues?
If you’ve followed the steps above and your IP is still banned:
- Make sure you’re not using a VPN, proxy, or other network-masking tool.
- If possible, switch to a phone or tablet on cellular data and see if you’re able to reach the website.
- If the issue persists, reach out to Crunchyroll Support. Ask to speak to an agent and provide details about your device and network setup so they can help.
With a quick network refresh, you’ll be back to your anime adventures in no time!
