Ready to master Picture-in-Picture (PiP) on your device? Dive into this article for all the tips, tricks and information on PiP.
What functionality does the PiP player have?
PiP is a multi-window mode with tons of features to make your anime viewing experience seamless! Just tap the PiP player to reveal controls for ten second forward or back skipping, pause and close your episode. Double tap your screen to grow or shrink the Pip as needed. Play hide-and-seek by clicking and dragging it when needed to hide the screen, and press the arrow to bring it back out to view!
Does PiP support auto-play?
Yes! As long as you have PiP activated in the video player it will automatically play your next episode. Perfect for binging sessions!
Does PiP support subtitles?
Absolutely! PiP supports subtitles, but keep in mind, you may experience a bit of a delay when the player retrieves the stream.
Can I scan forward, trick scrub, or triple tap?
Take full advantage of the ten second skip feature because PiP does not support trick scrub or triple tap at this time. Stay tuned!
What happens if someone calls or FaceTimes me when I’m in PiP?
If someone happens to call or FaceTime when in PiP it will pause until you are ready to unpause it, making sure you do not miss any of the action! You can simply restart whilst on the call by tapping the player to jump right back into the action.
Can I use PiP in landscape mode?
We do support landscape playback of PiP via system PiP, but not in-app PiP.
Will I still get my usual device notifications when I’m in PiP?
Of course! PiP will not isolate you from the outside world. No matter how entranced you are with your anime experience, PiP does not impact any of your notification functionality.
