Fitting your anime figure into its base can be quite a delicate process! Purchasing a figurine, waiting for it to arrive, and having it fracture upon assembly can be disheartening. Luckily, with our anime-fan approved guide, you can follow these suggested tips and assemble your figure safely and securely:
- Start with placing the provided base on a flat, even surface. Tables are an ideal starting place!
- Using the figure instructions, use both hands to securely hold the figure and align one foot with the correct pegs.
- If the figure's feet and the base pegs do not align, try to place one foot over the peg and gently move the other foot onto the other peg using very little to no force. Be sure to check your alignment and be mindful of fragile parts.
- If you cannot align the base pegs and feet, use a low-heat hair dryer on one of the character's legs. Keep the hair dryer approximately 6 inches from the figure and only use the heat in 5-second increments to avoid melting plastic. After each round of 5 seconds, gently move the foot into the other peg.
- Figures with a snug base are normal. Loose bases for figures will cause your figures to fall off the pegs/base easily. (A loose base will also mean your figure will begin to lean over time. A figure should feel secure and shouldn't move when picking it up by the base.)
Remember anime fans, patience is key, so take your time when assembling your figures. In no time, you’ll have a new display piece all assembled and ready to be admired! (^▽^)
