Profile PINs can be used in all kinds of ways! You can use it to prevent underage users from accessing mature content in adult profiles. You can also use it to keep other members of your household from accessing your profile, watch history, or recommendations.
Here’s how they work and how to set them up on your Crunchyroll account.
What are profile PINs?
Profile PINs enable you to PIN-protect your profile. This feature requires users to enter a 4-digit PIN in order to access Crunchyroll on a given profile.
Please note that your account password can be used to access or make changes to profiles, so keep it private. If you need to reset your password, follow the steps in this Help Center article: How do I reset my password?
How do I create a profile PIN?
To add a profile PIN:
- Click or tap your avatar to go to your Crunchyroll account settings.
- Select Profile PIN from the menu.
- Toggle on Profile PIN.
- Enter your account password, then click Continue to save.
How do I remove a profile PIN?
To remove a profile PIN:
- Click or tap your avatar to go to your Crunchyroll account settings.
- Select Profile PIN from the menu.
- Toggle Profile PIN off.
- Enter your account password, then click Continue to save.
Are profile PINs available for all Premium membership tiers?
Yes! You can set up profile PINs for any profile and at all Premium membership tiers.
Can teen profiles have profile PINs?
Yes, you can set a PIN for any profile, including teen profiles! But the primary account holder will still be able to manage any profile in their household using their account password.
I forgot my pin, what should I do?
If you forgot your profile PIN, click or tap Forgot Pin to use your account password instead. You’ll then have the option to create a new PIN.
