If you are having any issues adding shows to your watchlist it’s likely because our service is growing and sometimes needs a bit of maintenance to ensure its smooth operation! No worries! Just give it a few minutes and try again later. This will give us time to resolve any temporary issues that may be interrupting your binge.
However, you can try the following troubleshooting:
Browser
- Remove any ad-blocking extensions from your browser.
- Turn off any VPNs and antivirus programs.
- Disable ALL your extensions and see if it helps.
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies, and make sure it is up-to-date.
- Refresh the page using Ctrl+5 (on Windows) or Shift+Cmd+R (on Mac).
- Try opening a top secretary Incognito window and see if there’s any difference.
Mobile
- Double check that your device is updated with the latest iOS/Android version
- Close other web pages or apps, especially those that refresh often.
- Turn off any VPNs, sometimes it clashes with the streaming magic.
- If things are still acting up, uninstall and reinstall the Crunchyroll app.
Roku
If you are having trouble with Roku, reinstalling the app might just be the power up you need.
Follow the steps below on how to:
- Select Home from the main menu.
- Grab your remote and clear the cache by following these directions:
- Press Home five times
- Press Up > Rewind two times > Fast Forward two times.
- Note: This will take about 15 to 30 seconds to clear the cache and restart.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Crunchyroll app!
Apple TV
Having trouble with your Crunchyroll streams on Apple TV? No problemo! Just follow these steps:
- Give your router/modem a fresh internet connection by power cycling it. Unplug it, wait at least two to three minutes and restart the connection.
- Uninstall the Crunchyroll app.
- Restart the Apple TV app by going to Settings > Restart.
- Unplug your TV and your Apple TV from the power source, then plug them back in.
- Install the Crunchyroll app.
Android TV
If Crunchyroll is giving you a hard time on your Android TV, follow these steps to sort it out:
- Navigate to the Home screen on your Android TV using the remote control.
- Go to the Settings menu, usually marked by a gear or cogwheel icon.
- In the Setting menu, scroll down and select Device Preferences or Device option.
- Look for the Restart or Reboot option, wording may vary, select it and confirm if prompted.
- Your Android TV will begin the restart process, patience is key as it may take a few moments to shut down and restart.
- Uninstall and Reinstall the Crunchyroll app once your TV is back on.
Amazon Fire TV / Fire Stick
Restart the Fire Stick:
If Crunchyroll is acting up on your Amazon Fire TV/ Fire Stick, give it a fresh start by following these steps:
- Press the Home key on your remote and go to the Home window. You will find the menu options in the middle of the screen.
- Navigate to My Fire TV and select it.
- Scroll down and choose Restart.
- When prompted, click Restart again.
- Your Fire Stick will now begin to restart, and you will see the Powering Off message on the screen.
Clear cache and data.
To keep your Fire Stick running smoothly, clear the cache to improve the device's performance and free up storage space. Here’s how:
- Go to Settings > Applications > Manage installed applications.
- Select Crunchyroll App.
- Choose Clear cache and clear data.
Nintendo Switch
If you are having trouble with Crunchyroll on your console, let’s switch (。•̀ᴗ-)✧ things up by following these steps:
- Turn off the console by holding down the power button until you see Power Options, then select Turn Off.
- Hold down the volume up and down buttons, then press the power button. Keep holding the buttons until Maintenance Mode loads.
- Select Initialize Console Without Deleting Save Data > OK.
- Clear your cache and delete any Crunchyroll app data.
- Uninstall and Reinstall the Crunchyroll app from the device.
PlayStation (PS4/PS5)
If Crunchyroll is not working on your Playstation, power it up by following these steps:
- Grab your controller and clear your cache and app data:
- Press and hold the Playstation button.
- Select Turn Off PS.
- After the power light on the front of your PS stops blinking, unplug the power cable.
- Wait a moment, then turn your PS back on.
- Uninstall and reinstall Crunchyroll app from your device.
Xbox
If Crunchyroll is acting up on your Xbox follow these directions, specific to the model:
Xbox One:
Restart from the Power Center:

- Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Power Center.
- Select Restart Console > Restart.
Restart from the guide:
- Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
- Select Profile & System> Settings > General > Power options.
- Select Restart Now.
Physically power cycle the console:

- Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of your console for about ten seconds until it turns off.
- Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or controller

- Clear the App data:

Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S:

- Select Settings from the menu.
- Select System and move over to the right side of the screen to select Console Info from the list of items.
- Select Reset Console.
- Make sure you highlight and select Reset and Keep My Games & Apps to clear your cache.
Chromecast
If Crunchyroll is not working on your Chromecast, follow these steps to get back on track:
- Confirm the Crunchyroll and Google Home app are up-to-date with the latest version.
- Disable casting, close the Crunchyroll app and then reopen it. Restart the casting process.
- If you are using Chromecast with Google TV, reinstall the Crunchyroll app.
- If you are using an older Chromecast version, reinstall the Crunchyroll app on your secondary device.
- Reboot your Chromecast device by following these instructions.
- Double check that your device is connected to the same wireless network as your Chromecast. This could prevent the icon from popping up!
