Running into video playback problems on your Vizio Smart TV? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Try these steps to get back to watching your favorite anime.
Check your internet connection
- Make sure your TV is connected to a stable internet connection. Test other devices on the same network or run a speed test on your phone or computer.
If you use a wired connection:
- Check the LAN cable, router, and wall socket.
- Move the cable from Port 1 to another port.
- Test the cable by plugging it into a PC.
- Restart your router (turn it off for 1–2 minutes, then turn it back on).
If you use wi-fi:
- Move the router closer to the TV.
- Restart both the router and TV.
- Don’t cross the router antennas.
If your wireless connection shows a signal strength of two or fewer bars:
- Move the router as close to your TV as possible.
- Turn off your TV and then router, turn them back on, and try connecting to the network again.
- Don't cross the router antennas.
Restart your TV
A simple restart can often fix temporary issues.
- Turn off your TV.
- Unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Update the firmware
Make sure your TV is running the latest software.
- Press the Menu button with your Vizio remote.
- Go to Admin and Privacy → Check for Updates.
- If an update is available, your TV will install it automatically. (This also updates the Crunchyroll app.)
If there’s an update, your TV will handle it automatically. This will also update the Crunchyroll app if any app update is available.

Check HDMI or other connections
If you’re using an external device (like a game console):

- Disconnect and reconnect the cables to ensure a proper connection.
