How to set up Content Restrictions

This article guides you through setting up Content Restrictions within your master Crunchyroll account. 

Setting up Content Restrictions 
  • You can find more information on Crunchyroll’s Content Ratings and Content Restrictions here.
  • When you set the Content Restrictions for a profile, that profile will only be able to play the shows and movies at or below that rating. 
  • Content Restriction settings for all profiles can only be modified with the primary account holder’s password.

On Web Browser:

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences
  2. Scroll down to Content Restrictions
  3. Select the desired content rating level that this profile can access. Enter your password to apply changes > CONFIRM

On Mobile Devices: 

  1. Access the Account
  2. Select the Profile you want to change
  3. Go to [Profile] App Experience
  4. Tap Content Restrictions and select the desired Content Rating level that this profile can access.
  5. To apply the changes, you must enter your account password > CONFIRM
Creating a New Profile
  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to the Profile section:
    • On the Crunchyroll website: Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select “Switch Profiles.”
    • On the app: Tap on your profile icon, then tap “Switch Profiles.”
  3. Add a new Profile:
    • Click “Add Profile.”
    • Enter the name and a username for the Profile
    • Save the profile.
