This article guides you through setting up Content Restrictions within your master Crunchyroll account.
Setting up Content Restrictions
- You can find more information on Crunchyroll’s Content Ratings and Content Restrictions here.
- When you set the Content Restrictions for a profile, that profile will only be able to play the shows and movies at or below that rating.
- Content Restriction settings for all profiles can only be modified with the primary account holder’s password.
On Web Browser:
- Go to Settings > Preferences
- Scroll down to Content Restrictions
- Select the desired content rating level that this profile can access. Enter your password to apply changes > CONFIRM
On Mobile Devices:
- Access the Account
- Select the Profile you want to change
- Go to [Profile] App Experience
- Tap Content Restrictions and select the desired Content Rating level that this profile can access.
- To apply the changes, you must enter your account password > CONFIRM
Creating a New Profile
- Log in to your account.

Go to the Profile section:
- On the Crunchyroll website: Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select “Switch Profiles.”
- On the app: Tap on your profile icon, then tap “Switch Profiles.”

Add a new Profile:
- Click “Add Profile.”
- Enter the name and a username for the Profile
- Save the profile.
