Creating multiple profiles

Creating multiple profiles is currently only available for Premium Crunchyroll memberships, meaning free accounts do not have access to this feature. 

Definitely! We invite all Premium members with Crunchyroll to take advantage of this feature to further enhance your anime streaming experience.

All devices with the exception of Nintendo Switch and Apple Vision Pro are able to use the multiple profiles feature. 

If you are a Premium subscriber, you’ll be able to:

• Create, modify, and delete profiles
  Note: Primary profiles cannot be deleted.
• Select a background or change it
• Select an Avatar, which will serve as your profile picture.
• Set parental controls per profile

On the website: 

1. Click on your avatar located in the top right corner.
2. Select Switch Profile
3. Click on Add New
   • If you'd like to upgrade your subscription, select UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT or review the steps listed here. 
4. Enter a profile name and a username of your choice.
   • Remember, your profile name can be changed anytime, but your username is used for social activities like comments and ratings, and can only be changed by contacting our support team.
5. Click on the pencil icon to personalize your avatar and background.
6. Select SAVE to create the profile.
7. Check that your confirmation message appears notifying your new profile has been created.

Creating new profiles on the Crunchyroll Mobile App is easy with these quick steps:

1. Go to Account
2. At the top, tap on Switch Profile
3. Select Add Profile
   • To upgrade your subscription, select UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT or review the steps listed here. 
4. Enter your Profile name, then tap on the pencil icon to personalize your avatar and background.

On the website:

1. Click on your avatar

2. Select Switch Profile 

3. Click on MANAGE PROFILES

4. Enter a new Profile Name

5. Click on SAVE to apply the changes

1.  Click on your Avatar
2. Select the pencil icon next to your profile name to edit it

Mobile app:

1.  Go to Account

2. Tap on Switch Profile

3. Select MANAGE PROFILES at the bottom of the screen

4. Tap on the pencil icon to edit the profile you want to edit

5.  Enter a new Profile Name and select SAVE.
   

   Voila! Your brand new name will appear on your profile. 

    

There’s more than enough anime to go around, so Premium members are able to create up to five profiles!

If you’re ready to upgrade your free account to Premium and gain access the multiple profiles feature, check out this guide. 

Select the profile you want to open, and go to Settings>Preferences>Mature Video Content. Enter your account’s password and select CONFIRM.

If you’re ready to wave goodbye to a profile, please keep in mind that:

• Deleting a profile will also erase its history, saved lists, and activities like comments. This is a final action, and can not be undone.
• It is not possible to delete primary profiles, as they are the primary account holder.
• If you wish to delete all of your information under applicable privacy law, your account owner should follow the steps available in our Privacy Policy.

On the website:

1. Select your avatar.
2. Click on Switch Profile.
3. Select MANAGE PROFILES.
4. Click on the pencil next to the profile you wish to delete.

5. Select DELETE PROFILE, then select DELETE to confirm.

On the mobile app:

1. Tap on Account.
2. Select Switch Profile.

3. Tap on MANAGE PROFILES.

4. Select the pencil next to the profile you wish to delete.

5. Tap on DELETE PROFILE > DELETE to confirm the changes.

Under a free account, previously created profiles will appear gray, and will not be accessible. However, you’ll be able to access those profiles if you re-subscribe to a Crunchyroll Premium membership!

If you aren’t interested in upgrading your account, you can delete the profiles and use the primary account by heading to Switch Profile > MANAGE PROFILES > select the delete icon () and DELETE.

Yes, it is possible to download your games from different devices associated with your account, but the game’s progress will be linked to the primary profile.
