Signing up through Fire TV devices

Get ready to install the Crunchyroll app on your Fire TV device with these simple steps:

1. From the Fire TV home screen, select Find and type Crunchyroll or use voice search.
2. Select Crunchyroll.
3. Select Free or Download.
4. When the download is complete, select Open and follow the instructions on the screen to log in or create a new account.

By QR code (recommended):

1. Open the app.
2. Select LOG IN.
3. Scan the QR code with your phone.

Log in with a code:

1. Select Log in → Log in with Code.
2. Go to www.crunchyroll.com/activate.
3. Enter the code.

Email & password:

1. Using the Fire TV virtual keyboard, enter your email & password.

In-app purchase:

1. Open the Crunchyroll app and log in. (If you're a new user, you can tap Start 7-day Free Trial.)
2. Choose your membership tier.
3. Create your account with an email and password (new users only).
4. Complete your checkout through Amazon.

If you're already a Premium subscriber, you'll see an error message.

Quick subscribe:

Quick Subscribe allows a one-click sign-up.

1. While browsing on Fire TV, select Start 7-Day Free Trial.
2. Your Amazon account email address will be used to create your Crunchyroll account, and you will be billed for Crunchyroll through your Amazon account.

• • If you're already paying for Crunchyroll with your Amazon account, the Quick Subscribe option will not appear. 

Depending on the status of your Amazon account on the device, you might need to:

1. Log in to the Fire TV device.
2. Associate the device with an Amazon account.
3. Set up a payment method.
4. Agree to share your email address with Crunchyroll.

When selecting Start 7-day trial and get the app, it will:

• Download the Crunchyroll app if you don’t have it installed.
• If you consent, create a Crunchyroll subscription using your Amazon email address. If multiple service tiers are available, you can choose a premium membership to suit all your streaming needs.
• Launch the Crunchyroll app and the title you selected.

If an existing Crunchyroll subscription is paid through the Amazon account active on the device, the Quick Subscribe option will not be available.

If the email address we receive via Quick Subscribe is already a registered premium user, you will be logged into your account on that device. Your payment will not be transferred to Amazon.

Follow these steps:

1. Launch the Crunchyroll app and select Start 7-day Free Trial to create a new account.
2. A splash screen will show the available service tiers.
   
   • If multiple tiers are shown, select the one that best suits your needs.
3. Select Start 7-day Free Trial and create your account, providing an email address and password. Note that the free trial is available to new users only.
   • After you select Create Account, you will be presented with the Amazon check-out flow, which uses your Amazon account and payment information to complete the subscription. You are now ready to enjoy a world of anime!

If an existing subscription paid through the Amazon account on the device is active, the option to Sign Up will not be available.

Alternatively, if you have an existing free account, you can:

1. Log in to your Crunchyroll account
2. Go to Membership Info under Settings
3. Select Try Premium Free
4. Confirm your purchase by following the steps on your screen.

If the email address you provide is already registered as a premium user, you will see an error message on the screen.

• You can create a new subscription using a different email address if that is your preference, or cancel the flow and log into the existing account.

To manage or cancel your subscription, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Amazon Memberships and Subscriptions using a web browser. 
2. Sign in to your Amazon account.
3. Find your Crunchyroll subscription and select Cancel or update options.

Yes! After signing up on Fire TV:

• You'll receive an email to create a password for other devices.

If you already had a Crunchyroll account before signing up on Fire TV, your Crunchyroll login won’t be the same as your Amazon account.
