Signing up through Fire TV devices

Get ready to install the Crunchyroll app on your Fire TV device with these simple steps:

1. From the Fire TV home screen, select “Find” and type Crunchyroll or use voice search.
2. Select Crunchyroll.
3. Select Free or Download.
4. When the download is complete, select Open and follow the instructions on the screen to log in or create a new account.

If you have an existing Crunchyroll account, free or premium, you can log in to your Fire TV by following these simple steps:

1. Install the Crunchyroll app if you haven’t installed it on the device.
   
   • Or open the Crunchyroll app from the Fire TV home screen
2. Select LOG IN
3. Scan the QR Code to sign in using a mobile device. This will allow you to enter your credentials using your mobile device keyboard and log you into your Fire TV device. Your email and password for Crunchyroll might or might not be the same as the email address for your Amazon account.
   
   • Alternatively, you can log in with a code: Select LOG IN > Log in with Code > Go to www.crunchyroll.com/activate, log into your account if you haven't already, and enter the code on the screen. You can also use the Fire TV virtual keyboard to enter your email address and password on the device.

Now, you can browse or search for all your anime favorites!

If you are a new or free user, you can subscribe to a Crunchyroll premium membership on Fire TV devices. You have two options to do that:

• Quick Subscribe: From the Fire TV home screen, for example, when looking for anime content or searching for the Crunchyroll app, select the option to Start 7-day trial and get app.
• In-App: Launch the Crunchyroll app on your device and select “Start a 7-day free trial” to sign up for the service.
  • Note that the free trial is available to new users only.

Depending on the status of your Amazon account on the device, you might need to:

1. Log in to the Fire TV device.
2. Associate the device with an Amazon account.
3. Set up a payment method.
4. Agree to share your email address with Crunchyroll.

Quick Subscribe allows a one-click sign-up. When selecting Start 7-day trial and get the app, it will:

• Download the Crunchyroll app if you don’t have it installed.
• If you consent, create a Crunchyroll subscription using your Amazon email address. If multiple service tiers are available, you can choose a premium membership to suit all your streaming needs.
• Launch the Crunchyroll app and the title you selected.

If an existing Crunchyroll subscription is paid through the Amazon account active on the device, the Quick Subscribe option will not be available.

If the email address we receive via Quick Subscribe is already a registered premium user, you will be logged into your account on that device. Your payment will not be transferred to Amazon.

Follow these steps:

1. Launch the Crunchyroll app and select Start 7-day Free Trial to create a new account.
2. A splash screen will show the available service tiers.
   
   • If multiple tiers are shown, select the one that best suits your needs.
3. Select Start 7-day Free Trial and create your account, providing an email address and password. Note that the free trial is available to new users only.
   • After you select Create Account, you will be presented with the Amazon check-out flow, which uses your Amazon account and payment information to complete the subscription. You are now ready to enjoy a world of anime!

If an existing subscription paid through the Amazon account on the device is active, the option to Sign Up will not be available.

Alternatively, if you have an existing free account, you can:

1. Log in to your Crunchyroll account
2. Go to Membership Info under Settings
3. Select Try Premium Free
4. Confirm your purchase by following the steps on your screen.

If the email address you provide is already registered as a premium user, you will see an error message on the screen.

• You can create a new subscription using a different email address if that is your preference, or cancel the flow and log into the existing account.

To manage or cancel your subscription, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Amazon Memberships and Subscriptions using a web browser. 
2. Sign in to your Amazon account.
3. Select your Crunchyroll subscription and use the options provided to manage it. To cancel your Crunchyroll subscription, opt out of auto-renew via Amazon.

You can access your Crunchyroll membership on non-Fire TV devices.
If you subscribed using Quick Subscribe on your Fire TV device, after purchasing your subscription, you will receive an email from us with the steps to secure your account by creating a password. Alternatively, you can launch the Crunchyroll app and choose the Forgot Password option to create a password the next time you log in on non-Fire TV devices.

If you created an account in the Crunchyroll app on Fire TV devices, the same email & password can be used on non-Fire TV devices.

Remember that your Crunchyroll email address might differ from the email address associated with your Amazon account.
