Confirm the country.
Gift cards and prepaid codes can only be redeemed in the same country where they were purchased. If the card was bought in another region, it won’t activate.

Make sure it’s activated.
If your card came from a store, it may need to be activated at the register. Check your store receipt or activation email to confirm.

Try again later.
If you’ve already tried redeeming it several times, wait a few hours before trying again, too many quick attempts can temporarily block redemptions.
