If you just signed up for a Premium membership but you’re still unable to access the entertainment and perks that come with it, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll have you enjoying your upgrade in no time.
If your Premium access isn’t active, start here:
1. Check that you’re logged in with the right account.
- Make sure you’re logged in to Crunchyroll using the upgraded account.
- If you have multiple accounts, check that you’re logged in using the same email address that your upgrade confirmation email was sent to.
2. Look for the confirmation email.
- Check all your inboxes (including spam, junk, and promotions folders) for “Crunchyroll” or “Premium.”
- This will help confirm the email used for the Premium membership and the start date of it.
3. Give it a few minutes if you just upgraded.
- If you just upgraded to a Premium membership, it may take the system a few minutes to register the change—especially if you subscribed through a partner service like Google Play, Apple, etc.
- Wait a short time, refresh the page or app, and check your membership status again.

Let's quickly check your payment method. To see how your subscription is billed, just:
1. Log in to your Crunchyroll account.
2. Go to the Membership Info from your account settings.
- There, you’ll see whether your membership is billed directly through Crunchyroll or through a third party like Google Play, Apple, etc.
- If it’s managed by a third party, your current plan and subscription method will be displayed in that section.
After checking your payment method, head right below!
I’m billed directly through Crunchyroll
To confirm your membership status, check that your membership shows as active and not cancelled or expired. If it looks active but you still don’t see Premium benefits, contact the Crunchyroll team to review your account.
This is the information we'll need to help you out:
- Credit card: The last four digits of the credit card you paid with (never share your full credit card number).
- PayPal: Your Transaction ID.
To find your Transaction ID in PayPal:
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Go to the Automatic payments page in your PayPal account settings.
- Find your Crunchyroll subscription under the Active or Inactive tabs.
- Copy your transaction ID of the most recent change.
I’m billed through Apple or Google Play
If you set up your Crunchyroll subscription through the App Store or Google Play, your subscriptions are handled directly through your Apple or Google account, respectively.
They have access to your billing and account details, so they’re best equipped to confirm whether your payment was processed and your subscription is active.
Here's how you can reach them:
- App Store: Get Support
- Google Play: Contact Us
Note: It can take a few minutes for partner platforms to recognize your Premium subscription. If you're still not seeing access after a short wait, reach out to their support team to confirm your upgrade went through.
I’m billed through another platform (Amazon, Roku, etc)
If your Crunchyroll subscription is set up through a partner channel like Amazon, Roku, or YouTube TV, all of your account information lives on their platform.
Here's how you can reach them:
- Amazon Prime: Help & Contact Us
- Roku: Contact Us
- YouTube TV: Contact Us
Note: It can take a few minutes for partner platforms to recognize your Premium subscription. If you're still not seeing access after a short wait, reach out to their support team to confirm your upgrade went through.
I paid using a Crunchyroll gift card
If you signed up for a Premium membership using a Crunchyroll gift card to start or extend a Premium membership, but you still don’t see Premium access, double-check that you redeemed the gift card on the correct Crunchyroll account (the same email you’re currently using).
If you’re still not seeing your Premium perks, reach out to our team — we’re available 24/7 and can confirm your gift card was applied correctly and help resolve any activation issues.
