If you’ve upgraded but don’t see your Premium perks, it can be confusing. Don't worry, we've got your back!
Here are the detailed reasons you might not see your perks at first—and what to do about it!
Confirming your membership status
Let’s quickly confirm your membership status to make sure there isn’t an active Premium subscription on your account.
On our website:
- Log in to Crunchyroll.
- Go to Settings > Membership Info.
- Check whether your current plan and the renewal/end date are visible.
In our app:
- Open the Crunchyroll app.
- Go to Account > Membership > Subscription.
- Confirm that your membership shows as Premium and not free.
Payment not received or failed
Let's confirm your monthly subscription payment. You can double-check this by viewing your billing statements to ensure that the payment was successfully sent.
If there was a problem with your payment, your membership may be inactive even if you tried to upgrade. Let's try these steps!
- Check your billing statement for the date you upgraded or renewed.
- Confirm whether a full subscription charge was successfully processed.
If we didn't receive payment, your membership will automatically cancel within about 10–30 days, so you won't see an active Premium membership on the account.
In that case, you can resume enjoying the premium perks you love by purchasing a new subscription!
Multiple accounts
If you have more than one account, check to make sure you're using the one with an active Premium subscription. To check:
- Visit the Billing history page (from your Crunchyroll account).
- Look for any recent purchases or active subscriptions.
If you don’t see any recent purchases, it’s likely your Premium membership is linked to a different Crunchyroll account. Please try the following:
- Sign out, then log back in using any other email addresses you may have used.
- Search all your email inboxes (including spam or junk folders) for Crunchyroll receipts or subscription emails that could point to another login.
- Check if you still have Premium access on another device.
- If you do, go to Settings > Email and make sure the email address matches on both devices.
If you're still having issues, contact Crunchyroll Support so that we can help you track it down.
Note; Before contacting us, check out the dropdown “What to Include When Contacting Support” so we can help you out as quickly as possible and get you back to streaming.
Membership deactivation error
If you can confirm the membership charge went through using your payment method on file, and you didn’t cancel, but your account doesn’t show an active Premium plan, please contact Crunchyroll Support so that we can manually resolve the issue for you.

-
Make sure your Crunchyroll subscription is active, and the last payment went through.
