Can I use a gift card to pay for my current Crunchyroll Premium Membership?
Yes, brave subscriber! If you’re using a credit card or PayPal, you can redeem your gift card immediately.
If you’re subscribed through a third-party processor (Google Play, Apple, Roku, etc.), you’ll need to cancel your existing subscription and wait for it to expire. Otherwise, the gift card will be credited to a separate membership, and you’ll still be charged for your original third-party subscription.
Here's some additional information to consider:
- If your gift card is for a higher tier subscription than your current plan, the benefits start immediately. At your next billing cycle, you will be prorated for the amount remaining in the billing cycle that your gift card doesn't cover.
- If your gift card is for the same subscription, your next bill will be prorated for the amount of time not covered by the gift card.
- If your gift card is for a lower tier subscription than your current plan, the gift will be applied after your current plan expires.
What if I don’t currently have a paid Crunchyroll Membership?
You can still redeem an existing gift card even if you’re not currently a paid Crunchyroll Premium Member. Just set up a new account and head to crunchyroll.com/redeem. If you want to continue with your membership, you can start a new subscription by visiting crunchyroll.com/premium.

Can I redeem my gift card for a subscription in the mobile app?
