If you’re a Premium subscriber, you can create multiple profiles to personalize the anime viewing experience for everyone in your household! Each profile lets you track which shows you’ve watched, get tailored recommendations, set parental controls, and pick up where you left off.
Can I create multiple profiles if I have a free account?
At the moment multiple profiles are only available with Premium memberships.
Is this feature available on all the devices where Crunchyroll is available?
Almost! Profiles aren’t supported on Nintendo Switch or Apple Vision Pro yet.
What profile settings are available?
As a Premium subscriber, you can:
- Create, edit and delete profiles (the primary profile can’t be deleted)
- Choose or change your background
- Pick your avatar
- Set parental controls per profile
How do I create a new profile?
On the website:
- Click on your avatar (top right).
- Select Switch Profile > Add New.
- If needed, upgrade your subscription.
- Enter a profile name and a username.
- Profile names can be changed anytime.
- Usernames can only be changed by contacting our Crunchyroll Support.
- Personalize with the pencil icon (avatar and background).
- Select Save.
On the mobile app:
- Go to Account.
- Tap on Switch Profile > Add Profile.
- Upgrade subscription if needed.
- Enter your profile name.
- Tap on the pencil icon to personalize your homescreen!
How can I modify my profile name?

- Click on your avatar
- Select Switch Profile
- Click on MANAGE PROFILES
- Enter a new Profile Name
- Click on SAVE to apply the changes

- Select MANAGE PROFILES at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap on the pencil icon to edit the profile you want to edit.
- Enter a new Profile Name and select SAVE.
How many profiles can I create?
You can create up to five profiles, no matter which Crunchyroll Membership tier you’re subscribed to.
What happens to my profiles if I cancel my Premium membership?
If you go back to a free account, your profiles will appear grayed out and can’t be used. But you’ll be able to access them again if you re-subscribe! If you prefer, you can delete those profiles anytime under Manage Profiles.
How do I upgrade my account so I can add profiles?
Upgrade to Premium anytime to unlock multiple profiles.
How do I manage mature content per profile?
- Open the profile you want to adjust.
- Go to Settings > Preferences > Content Restrictions.
- Enter your account password and select Confirm.
How do I delete a profile?
Deleting a profile also erases its history and saved lists. This action cannot be undone. The primary profile cannot be deleted. If you wish to delete all of your information under applicable privacy law, your account owner should follow the steps available in our Privacy Policy.
On the website:
- Select your avatar.
- Click on Switch Profile.
- Select MANAGE PROFILES.
- Click on the pencil next to the profile you wish to delete.
- Select DELETE PROFILE, then select DELETE to confirm.
On the mobile app:
- Tap on Account.
- Select Switch Profile.
- Tap on MANAGE PROFILES.
- Select the pencil next to the profile you wish to delete.
- Tap on DELETE PROFILE > DELETE to confirm the changes.
Can I download Crunchyroll Game Vault games on other profiles?
Yes, you can download games from other profiles on your account! Keep in mind that game progress is always linked to the primary profile.
