Having trouble with Crunchyroll’s video playback on your Samsung TV? Fear not! Just follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check your internet connection
- Make sure your Smart TV is connected to the internet.
- Go to Settings > General > Network > Network Status. If you are not connected, select Retry.
- Try restarting your router or moving your TV closer to the router for a stronger signal.
Update the app or reinstall
- Go to the app store on your Samsung Smart TV and search for updates. Updating the app may resolve any pesky compatibility issues or bugs.
- To reinstall the app:
- Press the Home button and navigate to Apps.
- Go to Settings.
- Navigate to the app and select Delete.
- Press the return button on your remote and select the Search icon.
- Search for the Crunchyroll app and reinstall it.
Clear app cache
- If the app is freezing or not responding, try clearing its cache.
- Press the Home button and go to Settings.
- Navigate to All Settings > Support > Device Care > Manage Storage.
- Choose the Crunchyroll app, then select View Details.
- Here, you can Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Restart the TV
- Turn off your Samsung Smart TV, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in. Turn it back on and check to see if Crunchyroll is behaving now.
Reset Smart Hub
- Still no luck? Try resetting the Smart Hub on your Samsung Smart TV:
- Go to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis.
- From there, select Reset Smart Hub.
- Beware! This will remove all downloaded apps and sign-in information, so you will need to set them up again.
Make sure your TV is up-to-date:
- Press the Home button and navigate to Settings.
- Go to Support > Software Update > Update Now.
